The Delhi Police arrested 3 people in a case of duping the daughter of the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, of ₹ 34,000 in an e-commerce fraud. Citing sources, the news agency ANI reported, “Three accused named Sajid, Kapil, and Manvendra have been arrested for duping Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter. One main accused is absconding who used to make fake accounts on e-commerce sites,”.
On the 7th of February, daughter of Arvind Kejriwal who is the Chief Minister of the National Capital was duped of ₹ 34,000 while she was selling a second hand sofa online.
As per the Delhi Police, the victim had put up a sofa which she wanted to sell, on an e-commerce platform. Soon she was approached by a man who showed interest in buying the sofa from her, to check if the account details which were shared by here were correct, he transferred a small amount into her bank account.

Soon, the man sent a QR code to the seller asking her to scan it so the amount finalised in the deal can be transferred to her bank account, however, to her surprise, ₹ 20,000 were deducted from her account when she followed the instructions given by the fraud buyer, said a senior police officer.
When she inquired about the deduction from the buyer he said that he made a mistake and shared a wrong QR code following which he sent another link to her asking Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter to follow the procedure again.
However, ₹ 14,000 were deducted from her account when she scanned the QR code, said the officer.
According to the Delhi police’s earlier statement, a case of cheating was registered at the Civil Lines Police Station.
