Mehra's spirits have been garnering appreciation from all across the country. Retired army general Satish Dua lauded the boy for his Josh and said that he had an interaction with Lt. Gen of the Kumaon regiment, Lt. Gen Rana Kalita to help the boy pass recruitment tests based on his merit.
Praises showered upon the 19-year-old
Rejecting Kapri's offer of a lift, Mehra said that he ran around 10km, (six miles) very night after his shift.
Mehra lives in Noida with his brother. He ran every night after work since he did not have time during the day.

Pradeep refused to have dinner with Kapri saying that he needs to get home and cook food for himself and his elder brother who also works a night shift.
An inspiration
when Kapri asked him why he did not run in the morning instead? Mehra responded by saying that he had to wake up early, cook his meals and leave for work.
