Tashi Choden, Miss Bhutan 2022: A Proud Lesbian To Represent India At Miss Universe 2022

Breaking preconceptions and publicly setting goals for the future has been taken over by modern women.

After Indian beauty queens took home the majority of the top spots at international beauty pageants, a model from our neighbouring country wants to do the same for her country!

Tashi Choden, Bhutan's first ever beauty queen, is 23 years old and is preparing to represent her country at Miss Universe 2022.

Choden, a lesbian, is of mixed race; her mother is Bhutanese and her father is Tibetan.

She moved to Bhutan, at the age of 14 after tragedy struck and her parents died.

The young lady overcame adversity and landed a modelling job at the age of 15, and there was no turning back for her after that.

She entered and won the Miss Bhutan contest after completing multiple modelling contracts, winning a number of beauty pageants, and starring in a number of Bhutanese films.

“Initially, I am came out as a bisexual person on my Facebook account, but as I did more research and reading, I realized that I am actually a woman comfortable in my body and attracted to other women,” Tashi was reported as saying by The Bhutanese.

To be honest, I was surprised to win after having quite a bad command over Dzongkha, but it was a learning experience for me, and I will go on and work to be worthy of the title,” said Tashi.
