In the upcoming "Deadpool 3," which is scheduled to hit theatres in the fall of 2024, the actor Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine opposite Ryan Reynolds.
It will be the first time he has portrayed the role since "Logan," which was slated to be the final appearance in 2017.
In 2000's "X-Men," the actor took on the role for the first time in more than twenty years.
Hugh Jackman is currently wrapping up The Broadway run of "The Music Man," which has been nominated for a Tony Award.
T.J. Miller and Leslie Uggams are the only other celebs besides Ryan Reynolds and Jackman who have been formally confirmed for the sequel trilogy.
Zazie Beetz, who co-starred in "Deadpool 2," is reportedly also going to be in the movie, according to rumours.
She said, “Well, I can’t, obviously, really say anything, but I feel lucky. I just can’t really divulge or say anything, so we’ll see, I suppose.”
"Deadpool 3" will be directed by Shawn Levy, who has previously collaborated with Reynolds on "Free Guy" and "The Adam Project."
Additionally, the film marks the debut of Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
“Deadpool 3" is scheduled to hit theatres on September 6, 2024.
