"Roshni Nadar"  Richest Indian Woman Billionaire

According to the "Leading Wealthy Women 2021" report released by Hurun India in cooperation with Kotak Private Banking, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, chairman of Indian IT giant HCL Technologies Limited, retains her spot as the richest woman in the nation for the second year in a row with a wealth of 84,330 crores.

Falguni Nayar, CEO and founder of the beauty e-commerce site Nykaa, has dethroned Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw of Biocon as the second richest self-made woman with a net worth of Rs 57,520 crore.

According to the survey, Nayar, who founded Nykaa around ten years ago, overtook 40-year-old Malhotra, the founder of HCL Technologies, as the second-richest woman in India.

She took her business public through a successful IPO in 2021, when her fortune increased by a staggering 963 per cent.

The founder and CEO of India's largest biopharmaceutical business, Biocon, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, is the third richest woman in the nation with a net worth of $29,030 crore.

On Forbes' list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the World, Roshni came in at number 54. She has again placed 55th on Forbes' list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the World in 2020.

According to sources, she is also the founder and trustee of The Habitats Trust, a charity that promotes the preservation of native animals and their habitats.

VidyaGyan, a leadership academy for deserving but economically disadvantaged rural children from Uttar Pradesh, was founded and is run by Roshni.

Prior to working with HCL, Malhotra was a news producer and had an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management with a concentration in social enterprise management and strategy.
